Looking west at Dunadd, (Scottish Gaelic Dùn Ad, 'fort on the [River] Add') which is an Iron Age and later hillfort near Kilmartin, Scotland.
It is believed to be the capital of the ancient kingdom of Dál Riata. The land around the hill is boggy hence the hill may at one time have been an island at least during times of high water.
