Driftwood beach, on the north end of Jekyll Island, resembles a tree graveyard. This is because the north end of the island is slowly eroding away and is being deposited on the south end of the island.
My first photography workshop, every morning well before a very cold dawn we went to driftwood beach.
Each morning was stunningly different.
These benches are an inviting place to sit and enjoy the sunrise.
The incredible view at the end of the path to the beach.
The colors and clarity of the sunrise on cold mornings are well worth getting up early to see and photograph.
An image taken by a new friend, who had come all the way from Germany, it was a fantastic week!
